SR4K Sustainable Farming project

This farming initiative to fight climate change, empower young people and mothers, especially so that they can be able to take care of their children (an escape route from unemployment, hunger, and poverty). Most fathers don't care for children as much as mothers, this program is to encourage mothers to be self-sustained not necessarily relying on their men for livelihood. The program was also training on ridges formation, how to apply fertilization and career foe crops until harvest.

Women in rural areas are always the majority facing the problem of poverty. They are always faced by the challenges of managing their family especially as far as educating their children is a concern.

The outcome of this project was wonderful because the output of what was donated was encouraging. The Mustard Seed mothers were now able to sell some cultivated produce so as to carter for their children’s wellbeing.

SR4K was very proud to visit one of the Mustard Seed ladies on her farm and the result was impressive.
