Engaged4Peace Project

SR4K and partner Rayons de soleil worked on this project to counter violent extremism in Cameroon. 

We created awareness through sensitization campaigns. We went to schools, market places, meeting groups, Muslim and Christian communities to preach peace and explained the disadvantages of violent extremism.

The youths are the vulnerable majority and easy targets of kidnapping to be used as weapon carriers, we gave them every reason to show how beautiful life is other than dead or imprisonment.

We sensitized them on the importance of education, unity, self-sustainability, love, patriotism. We also explained to them the disadvantages of being a violent extremist such as being lost, living in danger and despair, being on the wanted list.
